VACANCY: International Business Development Manager
Competitive package including £40k+ basic salary + uncapped commission structure + pension.

International Field Sales and Business Development Manager role with an office base at Timber Bush, Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland.
To substantially increase sales revenue and market share for our world leading 3D mapping system. You will be responsible for business development, focused sales activity and revenue to achieve our ambitious turnover targets over the next 2 years. We are looking for an experienced international technical sales and business development manager who has a background in the geospatial industry and is familiar with LiDAR surveying.
Our vision is to be the global LiDAR UAV integrated system of choice for superior quality, excellent service delivery and value for money supported by a strong in-depth survey knowledge and expertise. This is a pivotal role to help us achieve this vision.
We need a driven, persistent and proactive technical sales and business development manager who can deliver the challenging turnover targets we have set ourselves to turn the company into a multi-million pound business.
You will have 5+ years experience in B2B technical product field sales, a geospatial background and experience working internationally. You will be accountable to deliver at both a strategic level and on the day-to-day operations.
You will be responsible, accountable and self-motivated to realise the full potential of this expanding market. Engaged and responsive, you will be customer focused with a strong work ethic. You will be able to identify new customers and articulate how our solutions solve their problems. Enthusiastic, with bags of initiative and ideas, you will determine market trends and identify opportunities. You will be honest, consultative and communicative.
Key areas for delivery include
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the Directors supported by a Sales Administrator, technical support and the marketing team. You will:
- Proactively expand our customer base, focusing initially on the UK and European market to stimulate and satisfy demand.
- Evaluate international market opportunities and provide recommendations to the Board for decision making.
- Have responsibility for international sales except North America.
- Achieve sales goals and report on actuals and forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Develop and ensure execution of sales strategies and plans in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for strategic key account management of existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Develop and maintain contacts within target markets to understand and report on market trends, opportunities and local conditions.
- Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to the Board.
This is an international field sales role and will require travel across Europe and overseas for sales and customer visits, trade shows, events and conferences to fulfil the job. Clean driving licence essential.
With an office base at Timber Bush, Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.
