Surveying forest to protect from deadly pathogen
The Routescene UAV and vehicle LiDAR system has been recently used to help protect woodland from a pathogen killing Larch Trees. The Routescene team have been assisting Innovair in surveying Drummond Hill, near Kemore in the Scottish Highlands. The area is under threat from the pathogen Phytophora ramorum and the only cure is to fell the affected area and create a buffer zone to try and prevent further spread.
