Routescene run for homeless charity

Posted on August 24, 2020 in

The Routescene team are putting on their running shoes during the full month of September to help raise funds for homelessness. We are participating in the charity event HomeRun 2020 organised by Shelter.

How far can we run…? as a team we log all the miles we cover walking and running throughout the month.

Last year 2,875 people in Scotland slept rough on at least one occasion and a total of 3,415 families have stayed in temporary accommodation like homeless hostels.

Routescene Marketing Manager Jason Rogers commented, “We have been waiting for HomeRun to resume since it was postponed in March due to the coronavirus outbreak. We are looking forward to the event and helping Shelter raise funds. Many of the team here at Routescene, Mapix technologies and Trackplot are getting involved and have joined the ‘Mad Trackers‘ team. I have been trying to get fitter over the summer months and lose some weight so this comes at the perfect time for me. However, it is already getting quite competitive during our weekly Zoom huddles as to who is going to be able to post the highest mileage. Please sponsor our team.
