 Routescene is a complete turn-key system to record, review, inspect and map assets located along linear features, such as roads and railways.
There are many instances when you require visual information for the assets that you manage. For example, you may need to ascertain the condition of a road barrier or railway signal, or determine the consequences to surrounding buildings for a planned road maintenance project. Conventionally this would require a site visit to inspect. Routescene virtually removes the need for time-consuming and costly site visits by providing the necessary visual information from the comfort of a desktop PC.
Routescene allows the recording of high resolution video imagery or Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) together with position information along a route. This information is stored and then used for subsequent review and analysis in the office. The review process uses GIS software to manage, analyse and optionally map assets visible in the geo-referenced imagery. The software provides the facility to generate reports of "incidents" along a route, and provides instant and random access to asset information, including all the imagery at that location.
